This is a Stock Horse Medallion by Jenn Danza of Wallela Farms. It is about 4-1/2 inches in diameter. There was very little prep work needed on this guy, so he was primered and then handpainted in acrylics to a Blue Roan Mustang-type horse. I really like how the black border sets off his coloring and the background colors. He was donated to Spokane Model Expo 2006 for the Youth High Point Award. The Youth High Point Award was brought about because Zana, the host of Spokane Model Expo, had to cut back this year on show tables - so the Novice showers had to show with all the rest of us crazy women! So, Zana devised a way to recognize them by allowing them to add up their ribbons in a Points program, and the top two Novice Showers were awarded my two medallions (see the other donated medallion HERE). The Stock Horse was awarded to the Reserve winner, Isabella. Congratulations Isabella on your wins! |
