"Kansas Sunflower" This pony was also commissioned by Melissa A. She started life as Breyer's stablemate #5904 Icelandic Pony, from the Shetland Pony mold. She has had her mane, ears and forelock removed, head and neck removed, new ears, neck, mane, and tack-friendly forelock re-sculpted, parts of her tail were removed and it was re-sculpted, new muscles in chest and shoulders, mare parts added, all hooves and heel bulbs carved, then hand-painted in acrylics to a liver/red chestnut with flaxen mane and tail. She has 5-colored eyes, pasteled details in hooves, painted chestnuts, my intials on her belly (JFW 04), and was coated in 4 coats of matte finish, with eyes, nostrils and hooves glossed. She is a lovely color, and that color changes with various lighting. Owned by Chrystie D. of California.
