"Tarwiethon" is Breyer's Buckshot Mold, re-sculpted and painted by Carolyn VanWert in 2004. He is SO light...she used a modeling clay compound that is wonderful, unfortunately some of it did not survive shipment. When I got him, his poor horn had crumbled, and he was missing his beard and he had several cracks in his leg feathering, mane and tail. He was VERY well packaged. Not her fault the PO got a little careless, and God decided to make it REALLY hot that week! Needless to say, he got a makeover by me, and it was SO fun matching up the work that Carolyn had done, and making him whole again! By the way, Carolyn is a WONDERFUL person, and she did offer restitution. And she was very gracious to allow me to fix him! Anyway...I have a very soft spot in my heart for this guy, he will be with me for a long time. He has already taken first in numerous online photo shows, and is heading to his first live show November 6th.
