This handsome little guy was very difficult to sell, but I sell them so I can buy other people's customs that I love - so he did go off to a new home. I named him Jacob for the short time I had him, and Jacob started life as Schleich's Miniature Donkey. He had his seams sanded; his belly was resculpted with fuzzy hair and gelded boy parts; I carved away some of the excess on his hooves and carved his heel bulbs; then sculpted very light feathering back over the tops of the hooves. He was handpainted in acrylics to this handsome, soft, fuzzy-looking dark brown Donkey. His face grabs me every time I look at him...which means I am doing my "job" right!! He was sold on eBay to Allison M. in March of 2007. |
