This Great Dane that I dubbed Leonardo was an Unknown Mold Great Dane Christmas Ornament resin that I picked up on eBay. He was really yellow, and he had what appeared to be white markings (feet, belly and chest) which are not allowed on the Fawn Great Danes. So, I removed the screw in his back which held the ornament hook, and just painted right on the resin after washing it off. This is what I call a simple repaint; and some day, I will go back and fill in his hole, sculpt hair over his belly seams, primer him and paint him proper; but for now, I just wanted to paint him good enough to photo show...hehe! So, with Acrylics, I mixed the paint to try to match his base color as close as possible and painted him up. I also repainted his solid black eyes, which are now tricolored. He turned out pretty good, and will stay in my Dog show string for a while. Not for Sale. |
