This is another one of those cute, tiny horses - not quite a Micro Mini, but just a tad larger. The quarter is to show her size! She started out as one of the Safari Toob Ponies - one that I still feel is a reverse Breyer Indian Pony in miniature. You can see the comparison on page 7. She was sanded, with logo removed, and sprayed in white primer. I had to move on to some other items for a while and when I came back to paint her the primer had had a bad reaction with the plastic and she was all sticky! So I stripped the primer and resprayed her with grey primer. That did the trick. I then handpainted her in acrylics to this lovely Dun Sabino Pony Mare. She truly has one of the prettiest faces on any model I have done yet! Her eyes are just amazing! She was sold on eBay in March of 2007 to Sally M. |
