Safari makes this little tube of Ponies...they call them Toob Ponies...and this little gal came from the Toob set. Out of the set, the Rearing Pony and the little Indian Pony as I call it are the most realistic of the 4 types that come in the Toob. There are 2 of each type of pony in the Toob, so you will be seeing more of these ponies!! HEE! Anyway, this little girl got a makeover. Seams were dremeled and sanded; then her hooves were carved out; the logo on the belly was removed and sanded and little hairs were carved with the dremel; then Stallion parts were added in Apoxie Sculpt with a few more belly hairs detailed in. After letting the primer dry for almost 8 months (he sort of got misplaced on my sculpting table!!), I noticed him hiding and dug him out, washed the dust off him, and painted him by hand in acrylics to this handsome Chestnut Tobiano Pony. He has a wonderfully expressive face with 4-colored eyes, kissy spots on his pinked nose, and the most amazing coloring in his mane and tail...a wonderful little guy and another one I almost kept for me...it is a good thing for several people recently that I overspent my budget...hehe!! As you can see from this photo of him standing on a Quarter, he is a little bit larger than a regular Micro Mini - but not by much. He was sold on eBay in May 2007 to Andrea H. in Germany! |
