Shelby

My good friend Xavie bought this traditional-scale pony resin, Shelby--sculpted by Sheri Rhodes--and asked me if I would prep her so she could send her to artist Kathy McKenzie to be painted. Shelby had a lot of issues that would need work; but I agreed, of course. All 4 of her hooves needed to be reshaped and the shoes resculpted; her braided mane and forelock were pocked and seamed, and needed to be redone. Her belly had a nice uneven seam in the groin, so I sculpted on new mare parts, but the most work went into her tail, which was very flat and had hardly any hair detail at all. I pat myself on the back every time I see this mare, renamed by Xavie to RC Wind Vetter. That tail is incredible, even if I do say so myself! These are the photos of her creation; in page 6 and page 7 you get to see her painted to a YUMMY Chestnut by the super-talented Kathy McKenzie of Dragonflight Studios!
