Aquilon

Introducing Aquilon! This little power house is the Mini Boreas Resin, sculpted by Karen Gerhardt of Westerly Design. He is a large Stablemate-sized resin - or, more precisely, a large Drafter in Stablemate scale. My 5-year-old son fell in love with this guy unpainted, and when he begged me for him, I caved in. I let him surf through my horse color reference file, and he found a Blue Roan Brindle Pony that he wanted me to paint on this big boy! Blue is, after all, his favorite color! Well, this is the end result. He was handpainted in Acrylics with 4-colored eyes and pastel-detailed hooves. He was then signed on all 4 hooves - front to back: To SDW - Love Mom - JFW - 2006. Stephen and I then found the name Aquilon, which is the Latin form of Boreas (which is Greek), and represents the God of the North Wind in Greek Mythology. Aquilon is a Champion Photo Show horse (Stephen takes his own photos!), and has placed 2nd and 3rd in two Live Shows, earning himself a NAN card at Northwest Congress in 2006. Aquilon is NOT for sale, as he belongs to my son - with great love, pride, and joy! Congratulations Stephen for picking out a winning combination!
