"Bok In Black". This resin is a Stablemate-sized Friesian Stallion Resin, Jarich, sculpted by the wonderful, highly acclaimed artist Kathleen Moody. He was commissioned in trade by Casey Valdez, when I purchased quite a bit of her Stablemate tack, and I found out she needed a resin painted. He was hand painted in acrylics to this eye-catching black and white pinto, with 4-colored eyes and pinking in corners, and pastel-detailed hooves. He did very well at his first Live show at Spring Fever Live, under the name of "Bok In Black" (thank you Xavie!!!), where he placed 4th out of 11 in Custom Mini Other Draft Breed, and 7th out of an unknown number (there were so many horses on the table they had to split the pinto class into subdivisions!) for Custom Mini Tobiano Pinto Color. For those of you unfamiliar with the term, pinto patterns have names! It is too detailed to go into, but if you are interested, do a search on the internet under "pinto patterns" and see what comes up! "Bok In Black" is owned by Casey Valdez of New York. Congratulations Casey! |
