All the Breyer Wixom Molds are very tippy - a tiny bump on the table and over they go. So, while I had this beauty, I decided to save her paint job and create a new base for her. It is VERY light weight, and entirely sculpted by hand out of Apoxie Sculpt, then handpainted in acrylics to look like a nice sandy arena floor. Her hooves were pressed into the Apoxie while it was wet so they made nice little impressions, where her hooves "lock" in. The Apoxie is actually thicker on the side where she would normally tip, so it balances her weight very nicely. Cinderella looks smashing! |
