This is Breyer's Stablemate Mule mold. She has had her tail removed and a wire-reinforced one sculpted, her ears and jaws carved, her whole muzzle ground down and resculpted, heel bulbs carved, dry mare bag carved, new light muscling on left flank where the old tail was, very subtle neck and shoulder muscles carved, and a new mane and forelock sculpted. She was then painted by hand in acrylics to this pale silverish Dun. Her pattern is from a real Mule, and I do not have the rights to post the photo here, but that mule is a phenomenal color, and the barring on this gal's legs came from that photo. She has 5-colored eyes with pinking in corners, teeth painted, and chestnuts painted; her hooves were done in pastels, and the bottoms of her hooves were painted to look carved. She was commissioned by, and sold to, Cheryl Mundee of Idaho. |
