Fritz

This is Fritz, a large Stablemate sized Friesian Stallion sculpted by Tina Lamport. He is the 2nd of a series of 4 that I have completed. I have done quite a bit of sculpting on this guy, and you can see his original state on page 9. He has more forelock, tons more mane, more tail (which was also lowered a bit), and a lot of feathering added to turn him into a Gypsy Vanner, Gypsy Cob, Irish Cob, or Drum Horse - depending on your choice of terminology! He has been handpainted into this beautiful Black and White Stallion, with NO mapping. This breed of horse has such a thick coat, that mapping is not visible in their skin, or pinking in the joints, for that matter! They have - and so this model has - crisp, clean lines, making their coloring that much more dramatic. He has 5-colored eyes, with eye whites and pinking in corners, a bicolored mane and tail, and hooves done in acrylics with pastel detailing. He is signed by me on the bottom of his base, as well as with my initials. He is owned by Horsing Around.

Unfortunately, this guy was involved in a 10-horse pileup at Horsing Around's Hotel room at Breyerfest 2005. Thankfully, he only suffered some ear damage. He will be repaired either by myself or by Vanessa Crawley, and will be for sale on their Website at a later date. Update: I found him for sale on eBay in late 2006 and purchased him back with his ear still broken. He is now part of my showstring, and will be shown under the name of Dom Romba. NOT FOR SALE.
