I prepped and painted this mare (now a gelding) for a good friend of mine in trade for some work. She is a Stablemate-sized resin, Millennium Tango, sculpted by Darian Buckles. She had a really rough paint job, with not-so-great prep work on her - and I was asked to work some magic! First off, that head spoke to me of a gelding: so after stripping and sanding and filling in pin holes, she became a he with the work of some Apoxie Sculpt. Then I was given a beautiful color to paint him. He was handpainted in acrylics to this handsome dappled bay, with Sabino markings, High Whites, a wide blaze, 5-colored eyes, and pastel-detailed hooves. He actually does not photograph as nice as he is in person, which is rare for me! The dapples don't stand out as glaringly obvious as the camera picked them up. I am looking forward to seeing how his show career works out! Millennium Tango is NOT for sale; he currently belongs to Deb Talbot of Spokane, Washington.
