"Heathecroft Bracken" is NOT FOR SALE at this time! This is a Little Bit/Paddock Pal-sized Shetland Resin, sculpted by the talented David Mayer, and produced by Horsing Around. I had not planned on keeping him when I first started on him, but once you have seen him in person - or, look at his head shots here - you will see why he has captured my heart! He had very little prep work to be done - mainly burrs in his mane and tail; his pouchy lip had a seam running down it across his teeth, so that was carved; and a little bit of air bubbles on his chest and belly were filled. He also had a small hole in his raised hoof, which I filled with Apoxie Sculpt. He then was handpainted in acrylics to this STUNNING dark bay. The camera just cannot do him justice! I don't keep my work as a rule, and I am sure I will eventually give him up; but for now, he will stay in my show string. He has 5-colored eyes, detailed teeth, thin white blaze, front left sock, pasteled hooves, and his base is painted a neutral sand color. He has 4 coats of matte finish, and eyes, nostrils and hooves are glossed for realism. What a studly guy! He will show as an English Shetland Pony Stallion. |
