"Hearts Wynd" is a Kalliel Resin by Chris Jolly. He is a small Classic-sized Resin. I resculpted him from an Arabian to an Arabian/Friesian Cross. The usual prep work was done on him and I primered him in Rust. He sat on my shelf for a long time in primer. I was not happy with him and was contemplating selling him, when I decided to E-mail Laura Hamn of Dreamdust Studios. I asked her what she thought of him. She told me that she thought his conformation looked like a Friesian. Instant spark. I loved his dished face, but it was too narrow for a Friesian, and he did not have enough tail, or forelock, and no feathering whatsoever...so, with Laura's spark in my head, I decided to turn him into an Arab/Friesian Cross, and here he is. He has added forelock; a broader, resculpted nose bridge and muzzle; added leg feathering and a ton of tail. I had to do his tail in stages and pieces, so I could build it up and maintain the same look that Chris originally gave him. I have provided a before and after photo so you can see just what was done. He was then handpainted in acrylics to an almost-Black Bay, as I was trying to maintain both breeds. I gave him a star in honor of his Friesian blood, which is the only white a Friesian can have, and I gave him a left rear sock, in honor of the fleetness of his Arabian blood. He is going grey on his belly. I have fallen in love with this guy, so I named him Hearts Wynd. He went to the Spokane Live show with me on November 6th, 2004.
