This Pink Unicorn mare was a special custom I made for my niece Katy, who turned 10 this year (2006) on my son's 5th Birthday (she is gracious enough to share the day with him!) Both my son and Katy were born on a Super Bowl Sunday, 5 years apart, so their Birthday is EXTRA special to the family. The Unicorn has no name yet, but she started life as Breyer's Paddock Pal White Unicorn. She had her ears, nostrils, jaws and hooves carved out; seams sanded, logo removed, and a little sculpting done on her forelock; and feathering added to her legs. She was then handpainted in acrylics to this metallic, pearly purply/pink. Katy had wanted a Magenta one, but this mare insisted on going pink on her, and Katy was just thrilled with her!
