Meet Gritty McDuff! He has had a little change, but if you were to look HERE you would see how this boy came to be where he is now, and to look like this! I originally sold this foal unpainted to Kimmie W., in 2004. He was pasteled by her into a lovely little bay clyde foal that she sent me some photos of at the time; but somewhere along the way, Kimmie must have not liked what she did as she sprayed him full of primer right over the job she did and sold him off to Melissa W., in 2005, along with his sister, mother and dad. Melissa contacted me at that point just to let me know that she had purchased them; and we formed a quick, funny, witty friendship from that contact! After a while, I decided to offer her a free paint job on the group if she didn't mind waiting for me to get to them when I could. So, my kids all came floating back to me except the Stallion, who Melissa thought she might like to play with herself. Well, they were all so full of paint that the primer Kimmy had put on top covered up all the details - like their eyes and nostrils, etc. So, I stripped them and started over. This guy got a new nose job, new mane and tail; and was haired out on chest, belly and rear end! I have pictures of him in primer on Page 3 and Page 4 that show the work I did before he was handpainted in acrylics to this handsome baby Red Bay Sabino Colt. I think he looks happy to be painted...hehe! Owned by Melissa W. |
