This Stablemate-Scale Resin is "Meridian", sculpted by Tina Lamport, produced by Horsing Around. This is the third horse in the second batch of three that I have painted for Horsing Around. Meridian was prepped, then handpainted in acrylics to a Dark Bay, with 4 white stockings. He was painted using real photographs, and came out so beautifully on my first try of this color. He is so versatile in his coloration. I have photographed him in 3 different types of lighting, so you can see how dark he is, and how contrasting the reddish-gold parts are of his bay coat. He has 5-colored eyes, pinked blaze and painted chestnuts. Unfortunately, this resin suffered an accident at Breyerfest 2005. Several models fell from the shelves in Horsing Around's hotel room, and he was at the bottom of the pile. He was, thankfully, sold to someone - in multiple pieces; but he will no longer be the same horse! If I find out the new owner, I will post the information here. |
