Pfemme Pfatale

This little cutie is Pfemme Pfatale, a little Arabian Filly Resin owned by my friend Xavie Augenblick. This little girl is REALLY delicate: her left rear leg bone split while we were doing a photo shoot at my house. So, I looked her over and thought I would attempt to take her off her base, since her left front and right rear were not attached anyway. It seemed to me that the reason her left rear broke was that the base was able to pivot with the other two hooves not being down on it. In any case, I created more work for myself in the long run; because when I went to dremel the base off her other hooves, the vibration from the dremel caused her front right to crack, her right rear to crack - and the cracked left rear broke off. I did mention she was fragile, right? Well, I was able to Apoxie the breaks and cracks without the help of pins, as her legs are too thin to even attempt to dremel a hole for a pin; and I then did the safety thing of adding Apoxie under the two loose hooves; and after a lot of sanding, I was able to match the paint. Now, I don't like bright green bases; I want a base that will match other things or be able to be covered with ground cover, so I repainted her base to look like sand, which is a nice neutral color - and it sure helped her paint job pop. To see her completed, jump to pages 4 though 7.
