This adorable little girl is a resin Pug called Pug Love, sculpted by Kristina Lucas-Francis of Lucas Francis Studio. Kristina Lucas-Francis is also a very talented Equine and Dinosaur Sculptress; okay, she sculpts most animals (as well as some other wonderful stuff). I fell in love with this little girl as soon as I saw the resin she came from - and I have several others tucked away to paint in the future. I did the usual prep work on her, and then did a lot of research on Black Pugs before I attempted to paint her. She was handpainted in acrylics - and I think she painted up wonderfully! From her "China" wall-eyed look, to the little tail, her pinked belly, and handpainted toenails and her AKC-acceptable chest spot, she just cries out, "Adore me!" This cute little gal was sold on eBay in March 2006 to Adrienne. |
