Here is another top view, after I finished the wings and added the initials. If you compare this with the painted top view, you will notice I did more work after this bit of sculpting. The wings are not separated all that much here, but I got out my dremel and carved them into definition, then sanded the heck out of them to smooth them out and get them looking nice. Now, you are probably wondering about the furry strip running down his back and into his tail; butterflies are hairy critters on their bodies, and I tried to capture that. |
