This underside hoof coloring is a new type for me. My friend Laura sent me photos of all her real horses hooves (thank you Dusty and Evie), and so I tried to reach the same coloring on the undersides. Fascinating fact: Despite the hoof being grey, the grey outer layers stop on the edge of the bottom of the hoof, then go to a cream (on a clean washed hoof!). The frog is usually a grey, or darker color, and the flat underparts are natural. It looks really neat; and I may post those photos on my site at a later date, with Laura's permission!
