"Night Raven" started life as Breyer's Stablemate Scampering Foal. He is a combination of two of this mold (see Chevy, the other foal, here). He had his left front leg cut off at the body and straightened, pinned, with new shoulder muscle and leg muscle resculpted; his right front leg tucked a bit more; his right rear leg removed and replaced with Chevy's right rear leg, pinned and resculpted; boy parts added; his ears, jaws, heel bulbs and raised hooves carved; and a few curls put in his tail with the dremel. Whew! He was then handpainted to this cute little Baby Black and White National Show Horse colt, showing his stuff impatiently in the ring. I handsculpted his little base, to which is he is NOT attached; it is just there to keep him from falling over if someone bumps the show table. It has little hoofprints where his hooves "lock in", but can be clearly seen by the judges. He has 4-colored eyes, pastel-detailed hooves, pinking in appropriate places, and his base was painted to look like arena sand. He is signed on his belly JFW 05.

Update, 2009: Night Raven showed up on MH$P for sale in January of 2009. I jokingly sent the link to my friend Xavie, telling her she could get him for me for my Birthday when he was still up for sale in February. I then E-mailed the owner Sophie, and told her if he didn't sell by a certain date, I would consider buying him back! Well, low and behold, on the 27th of February--a day after my Birthday--I E-mailed her when I saw him still up for sale and asked for a quote. No word from her; and on Saturday, a box showed up on my doorstep. I unwrapped the box and inside was a Birthday card and this little guy all the way from Sweden! Xavie HAD purchased him for my Birthday, and told Sophie to please leave the ad up or I would suspect something--the sneaks!! So, Night Raven is now back in my showstring, and is NOT for sale! Thank you to both Sophie and Xavie for such a wonderful surprise!
