Stablemate Prancing Morgan

This little guy started life as Breyer's Stablemate Prancing Morgan, now known as the G2 Morgan. He was part of a trade in services with Julie Cervantes, and you can see him painted by her HERE. I carved his raised hooves, heel bulbs, jaw line and ears; carved out the underside of his tail to give him a little tail bone under there; then removed his mane and forelock and sculpted him new ones. I also trimmed his tail down a bit so he no longer rested on it, then sculpted a handmade base from Apoxie Sculpt, wet his hooves, and impressed his footprints into the wet Apoxie. The base I handpainted in acrylics to look like sand, then I primered the horse and sent them off to Julie to play with. He stands nicely "locking" into place on his base by placing his hooves in the little hollows I made for him. He is removable, but will not stand without the base. A fun little quickie project!
