Another donation I made, to Northwest Congress 2007, that was left at the home of the show holder...hehe! Robin is going to hang onto her and her colt foal (see link here) and the Red Fox (see here) - all of which I donated - and either auction or raffle them off for Northwest Congress 2008; so keep an eye out for them there! In the meantime, I plan to photo-show them. I have dubbed this mare Gambol Til Dawn. She was created from the Breyer Stablemate Running Thoroughbred mold - one of my favorite molds to paint! She had her seams sanded; logo removed; ears, jaw line, heel bulbs and hooves carved; and then I sculpted in a bridle path and new forelock; and added a mare udder. She was primered and then handpainted in acrylics to this handsome black Thoroughbred mare. She has lots of subtle details and is by no means a flat, boring black. Black is one of my favorite colors to paint - and it shows; maybe because all the childhood stories I read were about Black Stallions...hehe! In any case, this mare is not currently for sale. Once she is located in a new home, I will update the ownership information here. |
